The residency application process for Independent Living varies from Estate to Estate so we encourage any enquiries to be made directly to our Resident Co-ordinators.

There is presently a waitlist with each Estate, so enquiries with regard to the length of time you would need to wait prior to being a resident is best discussed with the Resident Co-ordinator who oversees the respective Estate you may wish to enquire about.

The costs associated to making an application, include a one-off application fee that continues to confirm an interest in future accommodation at Old Colonists’ Association.

Entry costs are determined according to a means test, however it is affordable for everyone.  A financial declaration will enable us to give an approximate ingoing fee at the time of the interview. 

The future resident will be interviewed by both the Resident Co-ordinator and the General Manager in order to determine eligibility.
